There has been a lot of Logic bashing recently.
Sure it's not perfect, I have asked for features and bugs to be fixed like
everyone else.
So I thought it would be nice to list some of the features I love about
Logic, feel free to add your own (only good features please, no sly hints
;-)
-The fabulous plugins, all of them.
-Auto backup.
-Unitor8/ AW8 integration.
-AMT/ Midi timing.
-Being able to set your complete midi studio up in the environment.
-Key Commands - the sheer number and combinations of routines asigned to one
KC. i.e Set Rounded locators by object, cycle and play.
-Default KCs in 4 are very logical.
-Screen sets - Excellent. All complex programs should have SSets. Did
Emagic invent these?
-The beautiful interface.
-Hyperdraw onto seqs of any midi events.
-Alt Click - for speedy access to the zoom tool
-Zoom tool memories
-Loop parameter.
-Easy access to seqs parameters, in the parameter bar of course. (including
access to all the patch names of your synths - if you've set it up)
-The good will of the Emagic employees on this list.
-Commands for lots of 'small' but very useful functions, such as 'Tie
objects by position change'.
-If you move an audio region, that is say 15 ticks before a beat, then it
moves it to the next beat or bar but keeps the relative positioning i.e.
it will still be 15 ticks before that beat also and doesn't just snap to
the nearest beat.
-Icons for tracks.
-You can set locators by dragging in the timing bar, or set them by
selecting a seq.
-Long clicks.
-Second tool on right mouse button.
-Time Machine-you can fit a sample to a bar/beat length.
-Audio Quantize.
These are off the top of my head so I've probably missed out loads
