Subject: LAM Audio Help
Message #9000
Hi, I'm a new subscriber to this prolific list. I've been using LA 4.0 since it was released for midi work, and loving it. My Mac is a beige G3 running OS 8.6. Now I'm trying to get digital signals from my DAT (Panasonic SV3700), thru my Sonorus StudI/O card into Logic and can't get it to work. I know that the card works, because I can record and send audio data to and from Cubase and Studio Vision Pro. In the Audio Hardware & Drivers window the StudI/O box is checked. I'm also using the following settings: Card Mode: 2xADAT (I'm using an optical data link to convert the light pipe cables from my card to SPDIF for my DAT) Clock Source: Optical A (althought I've also tried Internal) Monitoring: On In the Arrange window. I have Audio 1 & 2 on Tracks 1 & 2 with SIO as the Device. In the Audio Configuration window the first two inputs are ADAT for Tracks 1 and 2, and the Output is 1 & 2. Theses settings are reflected in the Enviornment window, where tracks 1 & 2 are a stereo pair, and the red Record light is blinking. When I play my DAT, I see the meters on the DAT showing the record levels, but the meters in Logic don't move at all. Can anyone help me? I don't see what I'm missing. I'd be very grateful for any help getting this going. Thanks, Judy
