One file that is left on the drive even during an uninstall (I'm pretty
sure about this) is the "logic.prf" preferences file found in the
Windows
root directory. It's possible this is the file that was munged in the first
place.
First copy it to another directory then delete the one in the Windows
directory, then try launching LA.
