With version 4.04 you can use Direct X(VST on Mac) plug-ins as inserts. This is pre-ds2416 processing. I believe you can use the DS2416 with an audiowerk. > 2- is there still no multi-card support in logic? if so is this ever going > to happen? Currently 1 card support.I guess if enough users ask for it Emagic might respond. > 3- does yamaha update the dsp factory or are the dynamics and effects always > going to be the same? I'm pretty sure the DSP is fixed. > 4-most importantly-how stable is the dsp factory in Logic? I'm using it on a PC.The Mac maybe different.3.6 to 4.03 where very stable in ds mode but it didn't support native plugins.4.04 supports native plugins(including Logic's) but has been less stable for me.My definition of unstable is with 3.6-4.03 it would be days or even weeks between crashes/lock-ups.Now it seems like I'll get 1 or 2 crashes in a 4-6 hr session. Not great but not un-workable.I would go back to 4.0 but I already started mixes with native plugins. Also I found the ds2416 driver 1.23 to behave better than the 1.30. For the most part I'm happy with ds2416 although I'd like Emagic to support 2 cards ,the ability to key the dynamics processers andmeters on the dynamics. I've heard the Mac support wasn't as complete. But that was right after the card was released.Things could be different now. james
