Hello All, I see that a few online retailers in the U.S. are selling LAP6 educational/academic versions for the same price as the upgrade (about $500USD). I called one of them to ask about it but I have some questions. Does anyone know... 1. When will emagic actually ship this version. 2. I am told it is identical but it won't function until i register with emagic and prove that i am a student. Does all of their software require pre-use registration with the company these days? Or will it work as shipped? Thanks for all of your helpful insight and experience on this list. - Sam
