We all hear what we hear, but still. I've got the Waves stuff, I've got RealVerb Pro, I've got the two tc powercore reverbs, I've got altiverb ... but I still use the Logic reverbs from time to time. True, they aren't as 'hi definition' as some of the others, but sometimes I need something not so hifi! Same goes for the EQ and the comp. Actually, with all my pro and expensive plugs, I still find that I use Logic's build in (ie. free!) plugs a lot. I really like the compressor, it's so hard and edgy, it's like using a Dynamite or something like that. Got its own personality. The new channel eq is brilliant, top notch, and the reverbs are great for something – plus they don't use anywhere near the cpu that something like the Waves RenReverb does. Incidentally, the Tape Delay in Logic is one of my favourite plugs ever! When I work in bigger studios, I find a lot of old not so cool gear there, old Yamaha SPXses, DEP5s, you know the stuff. Bel delays. The point it that it's not a matter of getting the best sounding reverb (or eq or compressor or whatever) and using that on everything, it's a matter of using the gear that fits the bill. And the gear that you have. I've made hitsongs using no other reverb than Logics Gold Reverb. 100s of thousands of albums sold. Sounds great. Making good sounding music is much more about the ears and the brains behind it than it's about the gear being used. It's an old dogma, but it still applies! So you don't have a 480? Don't worry, be happy!! (I never liked the 480 anyway ...) best Flemming Bloch Mindless Studio Aarhus, Denmark

Very interesting for me because I had written Logics reverb off. I'd love to hear this music that sounds beautiful only using the Logic gold reverb. Roman.
