Subject: [LAM] 6.0 Replace Mode Recording Bug, and some other things
Message #136393
Is replace record mode working for anyone in 6.0 on audio tracks? I'm finding my self constantly having to look through layers of takes, and its driving me crazy. Audio objects shouldn't even be able to overlap like they do. Also what happened to the absolute pre roll, or was it post roll, recording option that was in 5? I thought we were about to have a feature similar to pro tools quick punch. It would be great if we could change the start or end time of a region after we punch in or out too soon or too late. Mainly the end, we are currently able to change the region start beyond the punch. I can't remember which version, but one of the OSX 5.x releases was doing this. Also, I am not able to select something with the marquee tool and delete only the selected area of a region during play back, while the track is armed. If I select a small portion of the region and hit delete, the whole region goes. These are only a few of the bugs getting to me in this version. There are a lot more, but I can't think of them right now. Hopefully we'll be getting 6.1 to squash all these bugs very soon. One more thing.... Is there any chance that Emagic is going to come up with a beat detective competitor? Thanks, Adam
