Subject: [LUG] [LAM] aurora igniter with lp6 - pci bus too busy
Message #136392
LP6 - MacOS 9.2.2 - G4 MP/867Mhz - protools mix24 1,7 gb ram (600mb ram for LP6, 300mb ram for the DAE) videofiles stored on an external firewire drive (120GB 7200/rpm) all manuals have been read using the aurora igniter card with logic for video playback lets us use only the "window" option for video and "internal" option for sound output in "video/picture settings". as soon as we switch to "aurora igniter" and sound output "external" there's only a still picture and/or the following error message appears: the pci bus is too busy for the DAE to play audio properly (sort of) this appears strange to us help is appreciated and will leave deep impressions mona davis

A big factor was that Lucasfilms bought a bunch of both Logic and Igniters and had some problems.... needless to say Aurora moved on the issues quickly. Try calling tech support and ask for Mike. He's been down the Logic/Igniter road regularly, especially from me and will probably be able to help you ((586) 726-5320 x207 or (810) 726-5320 x207). I'm using the MOTU PCI-324 setup, so I can't help you with the DAE situation. Good luck. James Ryan Rampage Music New York
