I've been looking into the new Project Manager in Logic 6.0. I have problems
with references to "unresolved" audio files, i.e. that appear in
red. Two
problems:
1. the project manager doesn't seem to be able to resolve file references to
files that are where they are supposed to be. Why can't the PM just find
them and resolve them? The Logic audio window shows them and their location
just fine.
2. I have a non-existent file referenced in my autoload -
"Carnival.AIFF".
As a result, every song file references this mysterious phantom audio file
(even though it is not referenced in the audio window). I can't find a way
to tell the Project Manager to just forget about this file, wipe it from its
memory. Shouldn't there be a simple "erase reference" command?
Is there something I am not getting about the PM? Or is the Project Manager
just not that smart?

As far as number one goes... are you actually using the ' Find
used files for selected" or " Find unresolved files for selected'
functions?
The reason I ask is that alot of people think the PM resolves files
automatically after scanning the drives.... which it does not.
As far as number 2... i have the same problem with some songs
and have not found a solution.
