I'm wondering if there is a way to apply dither to a file without
having to sit through an entire bounce. I have some very long
sections that I need to record out to tape but I want to have it
dithered on the output because of some digital processing that I did
to the files. I'm still using the ancient version 5 so I can't use
the new quick bounce thing. I'm also using OSX so I can't use the
waves L1 plug for it. You know what, this brings up an issue I've
thought about many times. When you bounce a mix it dithers it after
it does the bounce. This means that as you are listening to it
bouncing you are not hearing the dithered end product. I've run into
issues especially with Waveburner where there were odd artifacts that
I heard while working on a disc but once it was burned (and dithered)
it sounded fine. How can we be confident of what we are hearing while
we work?
Back to my initial issue. Is there any way to dither a file in Logic
without bouncing it? Any body deal with this?

Logic Gold 5.5 on mac os X
My studio has 2 usb - midi interfaces
can someone explain me why if I set "send midi clock to ALL", the
clock
is only sent to the first port of one of the 2 interfaces?
Every port is able to send clock if set alone in the midi sync
options... but I can't get all the ports to send the clock at once!
May be something is lacking in my environment?
Sorry guys, this is a repost, but I really need some help:
