Let me warn you about the 2044.
I bought one at a great price from ZZounds. But guess what -- it would
*not* install on my computer, which is a Dell PII 400 Mhz w/128 MB. Why?
Because Plug-and-Play refused to use available IRQs, and instead assigned
the card to the same IRQ as my USB bus. *Nothing* could be done to avert
this. WIth the help of Midiman tech support, I tried every possible
work-around. Finally, they just gave up and said, "Hey, we're out of
ideas...why don't you just buy a Delta 66...it's been designed to be IRQ
transparent," or words to that effect. They also intimated that support
for
the 2044 was going to be fairly minimal in the future.
Well, at first I balked, because I thought they should be able to make
the card work on my machine. Then, because of prior excellent experience
with Midiman's other products and support, I decided to break down and shell
out the extra $150.00.
Best 150.00 I ever spent! The Delta 66 is a wonderful card, and I
couldn't recommend it more highly. It also installed in, literally,
minutes -- with no troubleshooting required.
The moral of the story is -- get a 2044 at your own risk. The Delta 66 is
a better card in every respect (including A/D and D/A specs), and it is
designed to work with modern hardware configs and, most importantly, with
Windows 98.

P.S. For a good price and good followthrough on the card (or any card),
