It works nicely here on an AMD 2400+ system with Nvidia N-Force chipset and Windows XP Pro. Even rewire to Reason 2.x works fine and a lot of things that have been bugging me while using Win98SE do no longer occur in this combo. However, I would NOT consider service pack 1 when running Windows XP. Due to internal changes, a lot of programs have trouble with it, so it's a good choice to stay with the plain version. Second, if you own a Matrox graphics card, it could be wise to NOT install the Matrox drivers but work with those coming from Microsoft. Recently, I tried to update my Windows XP with the new drivers from Matrox (available via Windows Update for my G450DH). Result: Extremely slow graphics compared to the native XP driver from Microsoft. If you use AW8, please install the latest driver for XP, then all should be fine! Cheers, Thomas
