Automatic (Dynamic) voice allocation: It just dawned on me that you can't
do this in Logic (TDM or Native), like you can in Pro Tools. In Pro Tools
you used to have to specify the Voice for each track, and manage all that -
now the default setting in PT is "Auto". For projects where audio
voices
keep getting added, then reused latter, it's a big pain in Logic as it means
keeping track of which tracks (objects) are using which DAE track (voice).
Then if I'm no longer using a track, it's free for a new voice - I have to
rename the object accordingly. It's the same problem in Native, as you
still have to reuse the total number of pre-assigned tracks you've allowed.
Or am I missing something basic here?

I've been asking for this feature since 1995 (since 2.5, the first
version of Logic that supported TDM).
Virtual tracks are amazing in ProTools. The idea that you can have more
tracks than voices isn't widely understood by a lot of people. Each track
can have its own independent plugins, automation, sends, inputs and
outputs.
