Subject: [LUG] [GEN] How to roll-off with EQ???
Message #134084
Hi there, How do I roll-off a certain frequency when eq-ing??? Do I f.e. select a paragraphiq eq, choose let's say 200 hz and pull down the db's in that range??? Is that the way to get rid off unwanted sounds below 200 hz? Thanx, Irving.

Is that the way to get rid > off unwanted sounds below 200 hz? Hi Irving For what you just described, if you want *only* frequencies below 200 to be reduced, use a high pass filter. However, the term 'roll-off' signifies a *parametric* eq, not a straight filter...but i'm sure many people use it because they heard some audio engineer say it. Do some research on that internet thingy and you will learn....grasshopper sam

Press... Control (I think) while launching Logic. That will allow you to disable all audio drivers. Maybe that'll help in opening the song. Or you might be able to first launch Logic, then switch off all Audio Drivers, and then try to open the song. -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra <h@...> Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com

> mike v. Mike, I've had that happen a couple of times. You can open Logic while holding "Control" to disable all audio drivers, and then you can probably open your song. Make sure it doesn't have any plug-ins that you don't have anymore, they might be responsible for the problem. Good luck! David.

Hold down the Control key as you launch Logic and answer "No" to disable the currently selected audio device. This should let you open the song. hth mallen
