Subject: [GEN] help using a transformer object
Message #134033
Hi Group I'm trying to figure out how to filter volume messages out of midi tracks as I record them. I have an instrument that is sending random volume messages that are unwanted. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Thanks Stefan Garr

If you only need this while recording: create a transformer object in the Clicks & Ports layer of the environment. Cable as follows: Physical Input SUM outlet > transformer > To Sequencer object Double click transformer to open it. In the top popup pick "Filter Events". The top line of popups & stuff is called "Conditions". Set up as follows: Status = Control Cha <nothing, leave as is> -1- = 7 -2- <leave as is> This will pick out all controller-7 events, which is volume, and filter them. If you need this more often, but sometimes want to switch the filter off, insert a Cable Switcher between PhysIn and transformer. Cable the switch's 1st outlet to the 'to seq' object directly (bypassing the transformer), and cable the 2nd outlet into the transformer. -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra <h@...> Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com
