<Subject header fixed by admin> Wouldn't it be great to be able to display the timecode (bar/beat) of the current session in the video picture as alternative for VITC/LTC. We can work with DV movies now (thanks Emagic), but I have not yet been able to integrate a VITC in a Quicktime DV Movie. regards Flo

This is a reply to #134021.
I was just wondering if anybody had started using this yet? I started looking into it and created a database of all my EXS Instruments (including converted Akai volumes). From what I can see, it looks like a very powerful feature - although it does require a new way of working. Initially, I found it a little confusing, but from what I have discovered so far - it could make things much easier (particularly when sharing projects over multiple computers). I did think that the manual (adendum!) could have made things clearer. Because the new system essentially requires you to work in a very specific way, and organises the "consolidated" folders in a very specific structure, I do think it would be helpful to be told how you should organise your projects. Currently, it would appear that you have to figure this out for yourself! All this aside - it does appear to be a very valuable feature that will probably get less attention because it's less exciting than new plug-ins and the freeze feature etc.

So far I have only used the "save as project..." command which I think was worth the price of the upgrade alone! any examples of file set-ups / project manager uses gratefully received before I sit down and grapple with it. also how are people making back-ups / using things like retrospect in combination with Logic 6? also is anyone using two computers and a common set audio drives - I have a firewire drive which shuttles between my studio set-up and my mobile powerbook. keeping track of changes made in each location is already proving tricky... any thoughts / musings? best, pk
