The Setup Assistant works automatically if you have no previous
preferences for Logic. To force it to work remove all Logic
preferences from the Preferences folder then start up Logic 6. You
should make sure first of all before doing this that you have used
the Apple Audio/Midi Setup Utility and it might be a good idea to
keep the Logic preference files on your desktop rather than deleting
them - just in case!!

Mac OS 9: you can't, it exists only for Mac OS X.
Mac OS X. Delete the Logic Preferences (file
"~/Library/Preferences/info.emagic.Logic"), then run Logic.

Are you sure? With ~, I mean your home directory.
You can also launch the Setup Assistant manually:
* Control-click the Logic application icon
* Choose "Display package contents"
* in the sub-folder "Contents/Resources", double click "Logic
Setup Assistant".
* If Logic Preferences already exist, you will only get a message...
