Subject: [LUG] [LAM] V6 hosed my phatboy control of audio tracks
Message #134013
ho hum, i've had mails bounced so i've no idea what's got through or not. i also posted a reply to the effect trashing prefs solved this problem, it didn't. here's the original: I have a phatboy controller and some buttons on my keyboard set up via the environment and assigned to simple things like volume, pan, mute, solo etc. Although this sends out fader information I'm not using it for automation but rather it's sent to the sequencer input in the environment so whichever track in the arrange page I select I can quickly set those obvious parameters. Since moving to V6 i've now found a strange anomaly. When I create or select an audio instrument track, select a different track, then return to the original track all is well and the volume, pan, etc operate as usual, but when I do the same with an audio track I can adjust the parameters only as long as 1) it's been newly created, and 2) I don't select another track and then return to the original. If I move away from a newly created audio track I lose the control of it thereafter. I've tested this several times now and it's consistent in it's inconsistency between audio instrument tracks and audio tracks. I also tested it with midi tracks and they were fine. Going back to 5.5 was also fine. andy.
