I am setting up a templet for a Roland XV2020 because one dosn't exsist. I don't know much about it but I understand that I need to set the MSB and LSB nubers in logic so that it will talk to the XV2020. I have these numbers from the manual but I can not find were the hell I am to put them in logic. Were do you actually put this information. Can you give me step by step directions on how to do this. I understand how to create banks, from my old JV1010 module, change chanels ect. But the MSB LSB thing is got me stuffed. Can any one help. J

Johnny, See these references: 1) Defining Your Own Bank Select Commands - LAW Owner's Manual p 5-32. 2) See also Chapter 10 for basic Event List editing techniques since the Custom Bank Select Messages are maintained in an Event List. Process: 1) Highlight a JV-2020 object (single, multiple or mapped instrument). 2) Click Option > Define Custom Bank Messages. 3) Delete the 15 default bank select messages (or edit them to agree with the MSB/LSB requirements of your JV-2020). If you deleted the defaults, add the pairs required for the JV-2020 from scratch. [I believe you know where to look in your JV-2020 manual for the MSB/LSB information.] Example: FWIW, JV-1010 Bank 0 is selected by the following message pair. But the MSB LSB thing is got me stuffed. I don't see how you got your JV-1010 working without defining Custom Bank Select Messages for it. Did you simply copy a working JV-1010 instrument?
