Subject: [LUG] [GEN] digital mixdown with clipscan or bounce
Message #133858
if i have a situation ( law5.3) where i have not enought cpu for my pluging( waves!) i do i use digital mixdown or bounce?? i have always used bounce as a final mixdown tool and digital mixdown just to glue unrelated regions. am i missing some advantage to DM in this situation? i would guess use DM to glue a section( IE brass section) together then use the pluging on the mixdown section? any ideas thanks in advanced mike

Mixdown doesn't include the effects (but does include volume and panning, if my mind's still functioning), while bounce does render all inserted effects as well. That's the difference, so which one you use depends on what you want to achieve. -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra <h@...> Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com

Subject: [LUG] [OT] anyone else getting these annoying mails?
Message #133903
This is a reply to #133902.
Sorry for the OT, but recently I've been getting annoying mails every time I send a msg to the LUG. All identical and being sent from the same address, like this: >From: Alexander-admin@... >[...lots of headers...] >Your mail to 'Alexander' with the subject > > Re: [LUG] [GEN] digital mixdown with clipscan or bounce > >Is being held until the list moderator can review it for approval. > >The reason it is being held: > > Message has implicit destination > >Either the message will get posted to the list, or you will receive >notification of the moderator's decision. Just wondered if somehow I'm alone in this (in which case I'll have to figure this out by myself), or if everyone's getting them (in which case some group member here probably needs his *ss kicked for messing up his sytem or something). -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra <h@...> Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com

Thanks for the heads up everyone. Btw messages about problems with Yahoo Groups etc can be [GEN] not [OT]. Cheers Jeremy LUG Admin

Yeah, but I wasn't sure if it was yahoo or something on my side, having to do with this guy, or whatever. Anyway, thanks everyone for confirming, both privately and here... -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra <h@...> Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com
