Hi, just to add a remark: Values from 0 - 127 are seven bit range. "Primitive" computer technology (like midi devices developped in the early 80´s) uses values like 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 instead of 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 because the last number (ten) would afford two digits! Cheap machines could display 100 program changes from 00 to 99, and not from 001 - 100 (3 digits!) Maybe this is playing a role in this case.
