Subject: [LAM] Bouncing Versus Recording
Message #131842
Hi,I got a little dude. Every time I mixdown to HD a song with the bounce function on Logic I hear differences on the sound of the prebounce mix session and the sound of the bounced file. It seems to me that the mix it sounds a bit worse after the bounce process. Should I not use this function in the final mix stage? Its better to record versus bounce the final mix on a stereo track? Have you noticed any sound difference doing it of both ways? Jose Antonio

This has been a subject on this list before. The thing is that if you bounce, phaseshift it and then play the new and the old file back together then the two signals dissolves each other, which means that they are exact copies. Maybe you bounce to a different format (24bit-16bit, or something), if they are different then you may have set up something the wrong way. Henrik Krogh henrikkrogh@...
