When cursons are set to zoom, they not only do they zoom, they still
function as arrow keys, moving from track to track making zooming
very unpleasant.

Hm, the only case I could imagine is when one of the Nudge modes and
Zoom are enabled simultaneously. In this case, both modes try to
overlay each other on the cursor keys. This is a known problem.
If this is not the situation where you encounter the problem, try
menu item "Preferences > Control Surfaces > Rebuild
Defaults".

Michael,
Not sure if I was in nudge at the time, but deleting the control
and XT from the setup and rebooting logic so it finds them again is a
quick fix for the issue.
Thanks

An even quicker fix would be Preferences > Control Surfaces > Rebuild
defaults
