I've always wanted -- but have never known how -- to take notes in
Logic. e.g., settings notes for my misc. midi gear, mic placement
notes, etc.. Is there a decent/logical place to take such notes?
I use LAM 5.3.
Thanks,
David

I use a 1-tick-long marker in my Autoload at bar 0 1 1 1 to note down
any relevant settings for my analog gear, external patchups, etc. I
spent a little while & made some nicely-formatted templates for my
MS20 settings and SDD1200 delay settings, so all I have to do is
quickly enter the appropriate values.

Midi controller learn in Logic. Soft takeover. Lots of memories.
Tracks remember control assignments. Write track automation.

There are a few slightly illogical, possibly indecent places. :-)
(Even in v6, there doesn't seem to be a notepad)
John Pitcairn has already posted about making notes in the marker window.
I sometimes do the following:
I create a "No Output" track and create a new sequence.
I open the score window for that sequence and type in text under the stave.
I colour the sequence red and call it **NOTES**
I achieve the following:
When I open the song sometime in the future, I'm almost certain to
see that bright red sequence and remember to look there!
Because it's a No Output track, it doesn't show in the full score and
disturb me.
Just a crazy workaround I developed in Logic v2 and still
use......not too elegant but it works very well in certain
circumstances.

I don't know how you folks are handling things, but I allways have at least
one instance of explorer opened, displaying my song directory. For all
important things I just place a plain txt file in there and use that to
enter notes. Really no biggie IMO.
