This thread has been going for a while. I just want to say that there is a
certain style of working, whereby I want to do very different things to
different sections of a track. Each of these things might require a
different plug or combination of plugs. If I do ten different things to ten
different snippets of audio on one track, that's ten plug-ins and ten tracks
of bypass automation at least. It's for these situations that I'd like a
"Process" option.
Note that there are applications out there that attach Plug-In effects to
"Clips" instead of tracks (non-destructively) - I once used
Phrazer and it
does this. While this would solve the problem also, it would I'm sure be a
major architectural change in the program, so I didn't suggest it.
