I just want to say that there is a certain style of working, whereby I want to do very different things to different sections of a track. Each of these things might require a different plug or combination of plugs. If I do ten different things to ten different snippets of audio on one track, that's ten plug-ins and ten tracks of bypass automation at least. It's for these situations that I'd like a "Process" option. Note that there are applications out there that attach Plug-In effects to "Clips" instead of tracks (non-destructively) - I once used Phrazer and it does this. While this would solve the problem also, it would I'm sure be a major architectural change in the program, so I didn't suggest it.
