Just switched over to Unitor8 MKII from MOTU Midi Xpress 8...
Everything was working great... until I configured synchronization
settings to send MIDI beat clock... Tempo began to freak out, so I
switched off Auto Synch In...
Beat clock synch to external sequencers work fine, but now I cannot
get MIDI controller information into Logic and routed back out to
external sound modules. Unitor MIDI in lights appropriately flash
but MIDI out is dead... When Mac is off controller information is
sent Omni to all devices, so in and out routing seems to be working
on the Unitor hardware.
Questions:
- Any clues as to what's up?
- Does Logic automatically recognize MIDI devices connected to
Unitor? When I first opened a new Logic file after connecting
Unitor, the environment recognized all my devices in an "unnamed"
layer. After the midi routing problem occurred, opening a new file
in Logic, produced a blank environment.
- What is Autolink? Documentation is sketchy on this.
My system configuration:
Mac G4 Blue and White
USB connect to Unitor8 MKII
OMS Off
Unitor Control Software recognized Unitor8 MKII USB
LAM 5.5.0
Thanks.

Oops, correction... G3 Blue and white - soon to be moving to G4
dual... Thanks.
