If anyone has instantaneous screenset changes, please drop me a >note. In my (so far) brief initial forays into Logic on OSX, I've noticed the same screen-redraw slowness (Logic 5.5, X.2.3, G4 QS 733), even though the graphics card in that model (and, I assume, in yours) does support Quartz Extreme (In OS9 on this Mac, redraws of the same screensets are virtually instantaneous).. Admittedly many of my screensets are busy (half a dozen or so overlapping windows); simpler screensets draw pretty quickly, but still noticeably slower than in OS9.. I assume Emagic just hasn't tweaked some of the code yet, as all other aspects (graphics & otherwise) of Logic seem to be up to speed.. Turning off the drop-shadows didn't seem to make much of a difference.. I haven't yet tried turning off transparency (which I want to anyway, but only in Logic, where I find it distracting).. I suspect that might help.. Cheers, Joe Albano ROOFTOP PRODUCTIONS NYC, NY
