Logic Platinum is unlimited in the amount of tracks it will record at once, and Gold I believe is limited to 32 tracks. Your sound card is the question and that I can't answer. Check your manufacturers specks. Also the amount of memory speed ad quality of your processor and hard drive are major contributing factors here. If you want to track more than a few tracks at a time I recommend that you through as much memory in your machine as it will take and make certain that you are running a separate 7200 RPM hard drive for your audio, before you even worry about getting the additional IO that you need.
