Hi, I'm switching over from another Audio/Sequencing program to Logic when version 6 is released and I had a few questions about Logic. I have a Dual Gig G4 with 1.5 Gig of RAM and two 80 Gig internal HDs. I'm considering a new 1.4 Gig G4 but I've heard Logic (OS X) has much better processor performance than my other Audio/Sequencing program. Yes, faster is always better but I thought I'd ask some experienced Logic users about your setups (maybe my Dual Gig will "smoke" with Logic?) I'll be running Logic 6 with: - ESX24 mk II - ES2 - Spectrasonics Atmosphere, Stylus and Trilogy (when released for OS X) - Plug Sound UVIs (when released for OS X) - Reaktor, FM7, Absynth (when released for OS X) - Waves Platinum What kind of performance (tracks, Soft synths effects, ...) are you getting on your G4s MPs with Logic 5.5? Will Logic 6 have even better performance? How is the Akai / Giga conversion with the EXS 24 mk II? - Is it worth getting the Chicken System Translator to do the translations?
