Hi
Just as an offshoot, from my experiences, both personally and third party,
the best way to learn logic is to see someone else using it.
I was chilling with a friend of mine who does reasonably high-level studio
work. And he said that the way I use logic would run rings around the
average studio-technician.
The reasons for this are fairly simple:
A) I come from a busy media and print production background where knowing
every hotkey and trick in the book mean that you have to be able to use
software without thinking day in day out. [you should watch me with adobe
products hehe]
B) I sat in on a few studio sessions a while back. One on an intro to studio
course [where they used logic] and also at a friend's studio. This was
invaluable to learn the basics of navigating and manipulating the software.
C) I'm pathologically opposed to reading manuals... I have "boring
technical
manual dyslexia"
I think its telling that a friend of mine who was using *ahem*, an
'evaluation' copy of logic, couldn't keep his eyes off me in my mini-studio,
and said that were it not for seeing someone using it, he'd still be fairly
clueless [especially without manuals]
So, my advice is to get to watch someone using it in a real life situation.
Best of luck...
