D'oh! you're right - it's just MIDI that won't bounce of course. I've never
known Bounce to say there's nothing when there's been an audio file present
(always seems to set its start and end from the file, or from the cycle
limits), but without audio files it defaults to 1.1.1.1. to 1.1.1.1. as you
say.

Andy,
There is actually a way to bounce also your outboard midi synths. Use an
audio input object for the track and simply ad the audio from the
outboard synths to your "mix bounce".
And, of course, there is always the second method to first record them
as audio on audio tracks.
