The Bounce feature will say that if you have no *audio* tracks in your song.
Logic won't bounce MIDI tracks directly AFAIK; you may need to connect the
soundcard output to an input and record that back in as audio. After that,
the bounce button should find your audio material; select
"interleaved" stereo if you want to burn to CD later. I've never
understood why Logic is like that, but once you know about it then it's not
such a big problem.

It is possible to bounce Virtual instrument tracks in Logic. The only thing
is that you sometimes have to manually enter the start and end bar numbers
in the window that pops up when you select Bounce. If you don't, Logic will
see a Start bar of 1.1.1.1 and an End bar of 1.1.1.1, which will lead it to
naturally and logically state that there is nothing to bounce...
It is not true that you can only bounce audio tracks.
