However when going from NTFS back to FAT32 (FAT16 is *NO* option) you'll discover that your data will use way more room on the disk ('clustersize' and 'slack' are the keywords to search for to learn the details). So if your 40GB disk is mostly full (e.g. more than 35GB under NTFS) it might very well be that you _can't_ convert it back to FAT32 without prior deleting some files. >I've tried fdisk after booting from a floppy - but i can't get to this drive >in dos - it just doesn't see it That's because DOS fdisk is crippled in many ways.
