Happy New Year to you all!
I haven't had any response to the following question so I repost it!!!
(sorry to insist ;-)
I have an Audiowerk 8 and route my 8 analog outs to my mixer (where I apply
EQ, comp and fx)
Now, instead of mixing down to my DCC as I usually do, I connected the spdif
out of my mixer (VM7200) to the spdif in of the Audiowerk.
I then went in the Audio hardware panel in Logic and change the Audiowerk
settings with 'Digital In' instead of Analog.
I then created a new stereo audio track in my song and tried to record so
that I would get my mixdown on that track.
The problem is that i got a sync error message and also the track was
playing my audio at half the speed!!!
I am sure there are some settings I'm missing here and some advice would be
welcome.
The sample rate in Logic is 44khz and same on my mixer.
Otherwise, is there another way to achieve the same result?
Setup: OS9.1, G4, Logic Gold 5.5, Audiowerk 8, roland Vm7200 console.
Also, I just installed LAG on OS 10.2 with the drivers for Audiowerk and
AMT8. I'm glad to report that everything worked first time. The only thing I
noticed is that when I opened an existing song, the levels where not the
same than the OS9 version.
I mean this song contains both midi and audio tracks and for some reason,
the audio tracks were lower in volume than when I run the same song in
OS9!!!
Apart from that, OSX looks great, though slower than OS9 on my G4/400/512Mo
and it somehow reminds me of Win2000 (unfortunately) with its 2Go install
and all the files you don't have a clue what they're here for (I even found
some .dll's...beuurkkkkk!)
Thanks
Laurent
