I don't know if this will work in Windows, but I know that with Logic for
Mac, you can just put an alias to your plugins folder next to the Logic
app file and name the alias VstPlugIns.

Hi Marc, Thanks for the suggestion. After several false starts, I
finally got it working. Making shorcuts (Windows speak for aliases)
of my VST folder within the LogicVST folder didn't work. Nor did
making shortcuts to the actual plug ins. What did work (after re-
reading your posting) was deleting the original LogicVST folder, and
replacing it with the shortcut to my old VST folder. Hallelujah !
So thanks for helping out Marc, it's much appreciated. I'd been
wrestling with this for months !
Cheers, Anthony

HI:
When you say you ....
"was deleting the original LogicVST folder,"""
Which folder was this? The VstPlugins or the Plugin
Settings?
Thanks

No, I didn't touch the PlugIns Settings folder, which AFAIK is just
Logic plugs. Its the VSTPlugIns folder. In fact I realise I didn't
delete it, I just renamed it, so Logic wouldn't look in there, then
made sure the shortcut had the same original name as the now renamed
folder. Now I know it works, it's safe to delete it.
Good luck, Anthony

The plug in settings folder stores your plug in settings(your own stored and
the ones which come with logic), both for Logics´FX/instruments and
VST/Directsound FX and instruments
