This may seem like a simple thing for you vetrans, but i can quite figure it out. Im using logic to house my softsynths for live performance. Id like to know how to get it so that I can have 4 soft synth plug ins working on 4 seperate midi channels, on 4 audio instrument channels at the same time. I hook it up in the mixer but i can only her the audio instrument that ive selected. Logic sees the midi input fine and sees my seperate channels from my controller. Ive read the manual, and I think the answer lies in an enviorment, but for the life of me I cant figure it out. Thanks in advance.

Only a "record enabled" instrument can be played live. As you say there is a workaround in the environment but not for live playing, only for playing back programmed material over many virtual instruments. Sorry about that. Sorry about that. Thats too bad, the multi channel exsp24 can do it by selecthing diff samples, its a shame you cant do it that way. How do guys like ornsby and herbie hancock do this live when they need to switch sounds? They probably have some one manually click the next Virtual Instrument for them. I need a stage Slave.

I know this is working in SX, though. > its a shame you cant do it that way. How do guys like ornsby and herbie > hancock do this live when they need to switch sounds?
