I checked the archives (better late than never) and some users rave about this groove feature while others don't. I suspect it depends on how consistent & clean the source material is, as it seems a fairly simple operation (just tedious to do by hand). How convenient are the controls? Any bad stuff I should know about? >Go to www.bitshiftaudio.com - Phatmatic Pro is what you're looking for. This >will give you the highest resolution of timing since you can adjust it >yourself. They both look promising so I've grabbed the demos and will try in due course. Thanks guys, I was beginning to think the audio-to-MIDI path was a dead end, but now the winter nights will simply fly past. Cheers, Andy
