I'm sure this is in the manual somewhere.....but I don't even know what
the proper name is for it..so I gave up and decided to ask here.
I have a clip from another song that I want to work into a new song.
the clip is 2 beats over 1 measure in my new song.
is there any way to make the new clip....um..."shrink" into the
new
piece?
I guess another way to look at it is..if I had a 2 measure beat
pattern, is there an easy way to stretch it over 4?
I know how to do this with an audio clip, but I've never figured out
how to do it with a midi clip.
thanks,
Lee

Certainly! Hold down "Ctrl" while dragging the lower end of the
part.
Then you will be presented a question box, "Do you want to time
strech/compress the content of this part". If you click "Yes"
you are
done.
(It's "Ctrl" in the Windows version. I don't remember but I think
it's
the same for Mac. If not, try "Alt" or "Cmnd" until you
get that Q-box)
Best wishes
