Hi f-erenc >I wonder if there are any people who speak/read fluent German >and have read the German manual for Logic I do and i have. >who can say whether or not its any good in the native language? What can i say ? The program itself is overwhelming at first (as it was way back when i got v1.7) The german manual to a quite fair degree copes with it, given one takes the time to thoroughly read it. Cover to cover, that is. I still do it maybe once a year and still find nifty little tricks and features. I still do not understand notation, because i just don't use it. I once grasped its concept only by reading the manual, while i was 1500km away from the computer, but today i lost it again, 'cause i don't need it. The index sucks, in three of five times i search for something, i don't find it in the index. The manual itself is structured in large blocks like notation, environment, audio, etc. so finding the rough address of an issue is easy. But finding more global or unspecific information like f.i. the actual number of ticks per quarternote can be a bit tricky. >In other words, is the Logic manual bad because its > badly translated into English, I haven't read it in english, but the word around the lug (if this could be considered as representative by any means, which i doubt) is, the english manual is not easy to use. > or is it still obtuse in German? I don't think so. Christian
