Björn Elfström wrote; OK, fair enough, Markus, but is there somebody that *can* speak for the Windows version? I kinda thought that from v. 4 onwards the idea was that Mac and Windows versions would be developed in parallell.... ------------------------------ To be realistic about this. Take into account that the technologies involved in maintaining cross platform conformity are not equal. One week we hear of the PIII, then amazing advances in Apples chosen processor and a week later we hear of such processors as the Athlon etc. To make the software completely identical across all platforms would inhibit the developement process. We are always begging for more yesterday and we have to accept that what will work on one platform may not yet be possible on another today. What software company, delivering cutting edge software, can really claim to have the 'same' features on both platforms released on the same day. To do this, would stop a 'ready for distribution' application! There's a reason for everything. -- Matt McKenzie-Smith c/o Rocket Sound 64 North Terrace Kent Town. 5067 +61 8 8363 1110 +61 8 8363 0494 Fax +61 416 197 883 Mobile Web. http://rocketsound.net
