Hi Markus - presumably though, a G4 will still show some improvement over a G3 at the same clock rate, motherboard speed, memory bandwidth etc? ie Logic w/Altivec optimisations on a G4 card in an older machine would perform better than on a G3 card at the same speed in the same machine? I'm not quite ready to ditch my Umax S900 in favour of an Apple G4, I was thinking I'd put a G4 upgrade in it until mid next year or so... John Pitcairn
