Erroneous "CPU too slow" is excessive latency or timing interference, in the OS or device drivers. That's assuming you're not actually maxing the CPU out. Pentium III optimization would offer (slightly) improved performance overall without in any way addressing these latency/ timing issues that are causing the problem. From my perspective, such processor-specific optimizations which deliver fairly small (about 10%?) performance improvements are not worth spending much, if any, development time upon. Forget that stuff, work on DSP/ native integration and automation. Cheers, Thomas
