I've read this manual and tried to set up my environment to record
just midi notes, but nothing happens. I'm using a MidiSport 2x2, and
even downloaded the latest driver for it, thinking that it might
solve the problem. But even when I play something on my keyboard, it
doesn't even register (no lights expect for the USB connection). I
don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but if anyone could help, it
would be greatly appreciated..... Thanks in advance....

Got midi fader/knob hardware? Want to control/automate Logic?

Hi, Make sure you have both drivers for the MidiSport. There should
be one listed as a USB device and one in Multimedia. Also, does the
USB light fade on and off? If not, then windows hasn't found it
properly. I used to run one on a Win98se setup and I *think* you have
to make sure the USB driver is on first, so it can autodetect the
multimedia (might be other way around!). Once it is setup, it works
like a charm and you should see the inputs on the Midi Input object
in the enviroment next time you boot Logic.
