Subject: [LAM] randomization function is EVD6?
Message #123064
Has anyone purchased this instrument (EVD6)? I would be interested in comments (it seemed very cool) (I do mostly experimental) and I'm curious if there is a randomization funtion like there is in the ES2? (demo expired before I had a chance to check) thanks, greg

Hi Greg, I have the EVD6 and find it a very expressive realistic keyboard/plucked/clav instrument. As it emulates a "real" keyboard instrument, it may not be what you want, though I guess experimental music could encompass almost anything. For really unusual sounds, listen to Absynth (if you haven't already). There's a demo at the NI site: http://www.native-instruments.net/index.php?home_us Look down the sidebar at the left. And no, the EVD6 doesn't have a randomize function. Regards - Colin

You may want to try out Len Sasso's "Scramblers". Those do a great job on randomizing a variety of plugins. And while there's none for the EVD6, you could re-arrange them - a bit tough though as they are rather complexed macros. Anyways, sometimes just cabling them to the instrument in question does the job fine. Oh, www.swiftkick.com Sascha

It is one of my favourites with the EVP88 but not the EVD :(((( Regards: Darth
