I am not saying that I can address the 8 ports of the Studio 4 with Logic under X. The original comment made a blanket statement that "midi wouldn't work with [the stealth g3 port]...unless Apple does something with it" which is not true as it does show up as a simple interface. I use it for really simple tasks (access to my controller for instance). Just gotta invest in some new USB stuff I guess. Sorry 'bout the confusion... GN

Well for me if you can't recognise different MIDI channels on different MIDI ports is the same as MIDI doesn't work under OSX. So you can get a single MIDI channel out of one (or all ?) the ports ? yes ?
