Hello,
anyone familiar with the error code messages on macs?
I'm trying to work on my project; 27 audio tracks three plug-ins
used...
I work with LAPM 5.3 on a Powerbook Platinum G4 667Mhz, a
40Gb firewire hard drive from Glyph and the motu 828 or the
Mbox. A unitor 8 MkII usb is used to route midi I/O.
Whenever I want to do two things at the same time (playing back
and trying to change some of the plug-in parameters or
switching windows) the whole program freezes and a box
appears, saying:
"ASIO: Disk is too slow or system overload (-10010)"
I've tried changing the audio settings to DIRECT I/O for use with
the Mbox and got the same result. Then I copied 15 of the 27
Audiofiles to a second Hard disk in both settings but always with
the same result...
The thing is that I get this error message about 3 times and then
the system freezes completely. I can still move the mouse
around but thats it. Pressing the "apple-alt-esc" key combination
just gives me the alternative to quit the finder (???), resulting in
an even bigger freeze. Shutting down the system is then the only
possibilty left, at least that's the only thing that I can come up
with...
And here's the spooky part:
When restarted, my system clock is always changed to
02-01-1904?????
Anyone familiar with this kind of major crash??? Any advice
would be welcome.
Regards,
Nathan
Hello
Did you monitor the I/O flow ? Where is the meter ?
I had a Digi 001, wanted to get a Motu 2048 MKII, Motu support told
me : you cannot run a Digi 001 with a Motu 2048 MKII :((((
Is it the same for the Mbox and the 828 I don¹t know !!!!!!!

If that works add Digi¹s driver and try again !
Tell me what worked. I am interested as for the moment I do not trust
Firewire for HD and for Audio usage. (I have a 533/MP and I run 64 Stereo
tracks with no problems on a Motu system 2048 MKII + 1296 + 24i --

simultaneous tracks recording !!!!)

The box said "Use Windows 95 or better" so I got a Macintosh
P.S. If you want to be sure that I read your message leave my signature in
