Subject: [LAM] Midi scrubbing & wait for note - how?
Message #120378
Hi Group Coming from another sequencer brand, I'd like to ask about some primary midi functions, for which I haven't found a solution in LP5. 1. In Midi editing How do you scrub midi note data of a chosen sequence in _Matrix_ window? (Back and forth at the speed determined freely by user, and simultaneous notes of the sequence should trigger simultaneously, naturally). 2. In Midi recording Choosing the option "Wait for Note" (in Metronome settings) doesn't seem to have any influence whatsoever in my setup. What could be wrong? I failed to find the answers from the Logic Online Help, so any help appreciated. LP 5.3 Macintosh G4 OS 9.2.2 Thanks, Tommi

I thought it was by dragging the song position line in the ruler window, but this has always been a bug for me. Click holding in the ruler bar in the matrix window makes the SPL hop back some indeterminate number of bars. Very frustrating. This normally works in the arrange window, but not matrix or score. I don't use it often but I think you put the sequencer in pause and then press ff or rr in the transport window? Or you can buy a Logic Control and roll the jog wheel! Sorry to not help but I just want to take the opportunity about this bug that has existed for so long that still hasn't been fixed. > 2. Emagic tech told me that this will work if you disable that Unified Midi Engine thingie or whatever it's called. (I'm not at my Mac, sorry). I guess they know of this bug but will fix it sometime who knows when ... Rgds Ken
