Some people who have an Mbox and an oxygen told me that the combo only works
with the Mbox plugged into one hub or the other. That was on a 500mhz
TiBook, pretty similar speeds to the Pismo except for the G4. Based on that,
I would try changing the EMI to the OTHER USB port and see if that does it.
I have another friend with the same setup on an iBook and he had no
problems. we figured out that it was his USB hub that helped. The USB hub
from Dr. Bott (The small one for sure, maybe the big one too) does something
special with power management and seems to help in these situations over
other USB hubs.
Also griffin Tech came out with a USB hub designed for use with audio. that
might do the trick too.

Hullo,
Thanks for all the informative emails - I have found the problem. In
looking at my Oxygen 8 setup I had plugged in the power supply and the
USB connection. Once I unplugged the USB cable everything worked
fine... no more clicks/pops from my EMI 2/6. On to making music...
Thanks,
Doug Michael
