That was on a 500mhz TiBook, pretty similar speeds to the Pismo except for the G4. Based on that, I would try changing the EMI to the OTHER USB port and see if that does it. I have another friend with the same setup on an iBook and he had no problems. we figured out that it was his USB hub that helped. The USB hub from Dr. Bott (The small one for sure, maybe the big one too) does something special with power management and seems to help in these situations over other USB hubs. Also griffin Tech came out with a USB hub designed for use with audio. that might do the trick too. teddybut

In looking at my Oxygen 8 setup I had plugged in the power supply and the USB connection. Once I unplugged the USB cable everything worked fine... no more clicks/pops from my EMI 2/6.
