Hi there,
Is it in anyway possible to install/run audiosuite pluginns (like
FocusriteD3) in Logic. I want to do this without running Protools...
Thanx!
Irving

if you don't have protools tdm hardware it's impossible! You can still
rely on premiere plugins, but audiosuite in logic is tdm only. BTW, that's
why I upgraded to protools hardware.

I have successfully run audiosuite plug-ins using DAE 3.4.2 and my AM3
card - No TDM! I can even run all my PT 5.1.1 audiosuite plug-ins
within Logic. I just reboot my computer using the older DAE/DSI but
with the newer plug-ins. Works fine here!
I run this DAE driver in addition to the ASIO driver
cheers,

Hi Irving,
It's been way to many years since I used Audiosuite (I used to have
a Session 8 then Protools Project system) but back then audiosuite was
non-realtime only and used to show up in Logic in the sample edit window as
a non-realtime process. With the whole RTAS thing it would be nice to think
that, as long as you have DAE as your audio driver, you could use the RTAS
plugs in Logic but really someone who uses the system now could/should give
you a better answer - I only chipped in 'cause I saw no one else had
answered you today!
Certainly you don't need protools running to use ANY current Digidesign
hardware in Logic, but I couldn't say for sure about the RTAS plugs.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Any M Box/ AMIII users care to help?
