Are you using ASIO or MME drivers? (I think Logic PC ASIO doesn't support 48k). Also, how do you have the 2408 Console set up? (clocking, inputs, outputs). Go back to 4.03. Audio in 4.04 is busted and you will drive yourself nuts trying to troubleshoot this problem (may not be 4.04 related, but at least take 4.04's problems out of the mix). This really sounds like a config problem with the 2408 console, but you may have that figured out already.
